Chubu 01

Chubu 01, designed by Kazushi Kobayashi.

I'm absolutely blown away by Kazushi Kobayashi's robot models. What can I say, I'm a sucker for retro-futuristic robotics. Concept sheet followed by my progress on Chubu 01.

Odonata WIP Update

Progress!! The GDC crunch has been treating Odonata quite well and I have been spending my time in UV/Material land. Randomly its been smooth due to Mayas newer UV tools. Thanks Autodesk, its about time we had a smarter set of tools.

Today I worked on the exhaust and the wing tubular chassis.

Titanium Material Test

I'm excited that things are all finally working! Waterspots, Scratches, Dirt, Reflection Map and all. Its been a twisty road getting used to working with maya shaders but things are looking up.

Next Up: Fuselage Materials.
